Le Pain Quotidien

Le Pain Quotidien is an international chain located in fourteen countries that strives itself in keeping to its philosophies. PQ, as regular patrons call it, uses primarily organically grown products to ensure that their ingredients are not only of the finest quality, but good for their customers as well. Another unique feature that the restaurant has is its communal table, a long table that stretches from one end of the restaurant which encourages mingling with neighbors and community.

My experiences so far at Le Pain Quotidien, Claremont, have been amazing ones. Their food is absolutely delicious, and the fact that many of the ingredients are organic makes you feel good about eating it. The two times that I have gone, my friends and I have ordered different appetizers, entrees, and desserts and shared all of them, making this a fun, easy-going and casual place to dine. The tartines are delicious, and so far, my favorite one of them has been the Grilled Chicken and Smoked Mozzarella with arugala and basil pesto (seen here). The Tuscan Platter is great for sharing as an appetizer and the Board of Fine Cheeses goes great with their signature breads (seen here as well). The desserts are to die for! The lemon tart and each of their fruit tarts are perfectly made and just the right size for ordering a few and sharing amongst a group.
